The Hotel Eiger is a comfortable 4-star hotel with 45 rooms, suites and apartments located in the heart of Grindelwald. This hotel is 5 minutes walking distance to the railway station and close to everything in this picturesque Swiss mountain village: shopping, the sports-center with indoor swimming pool and ice-skating rink (free entrance for hotel guests), the cableway which takes you to the "First" mountain and the bus-stop for transfers to the railway station and lifts for accessing other mountains and ski areas. The facilities at the Hotel Eiger include the Restaurant "Barry's" with traditional fine Swiss cuisine, but also known for its Mongolian barbeque and the "Vinothek" with a large selection of fine vines, the "Galleria" Dining Room, the Bistro-Bar "Memory" for potato and cheese specialties among others and the "Gepsi" Bar for snacks and drinks with nightly entertainment. Description of Double Standard Room
All rooms at the Hotel Eiger have been completely renovated in 2001 and most rooms feature a balcony facing south with view of the “Eiger” mountain peak (some rooms are facing East or West with Mountain View). The bathroom has a bathtub including shower and hair-dryer. All rooms are equipped with cable TV, radio, telephone, mini-bar and safe. The rooms each have 2 Twin beds that are pushed together. Smoking / non-smoking rooms are available on request.

Single: smaller room with 1 Bed; facing West with balcony

Double Comfort: larger room; facing South with balcony

Junior Suite: with sitting area; facing South with balcony and extra large bathtub

Panorama Suite: 1 large room (corner unit) with sitting area and fire-place; facing South with balcony; king-size four-poster bed; bathroom with special large bathtub (incl. whirlpool) and separate shower

Studio: 1 room with 2 beds; sitting area and kitchenette

2 Room Apartment: 1 large room with 2 beds and sitting area; 1 small bedroom with bunk beds (for children); 1 bathroom; kitchenette

Attika Apartment: located on top floor (incl. balcony with great views) with 1 large bedroom with 2 beds; 1 small bedroom with bunk beds (for children); 1 large room with 2 beds and sitting area; 2 bathrooms and kitchenette

The Hotel Eiger includes a new “Selfness Center” with whirlpool, sauna, steam bath and fitness room. Part of this unique offer are various gymnastic programs for active relaxation including Pilates, body plus and stretch & relax. The hotel serves free coffee and cake from 4 – 6 pm and has the only Mongolian BBQ restaurant in the Jungfrau region.

Directions on how to get there
By public transportation:
Take train from Interlaken Ost to Grindelwald; from the Grindelwald Railway Station inform the Hotel about your arrival time and the Hotel Shuttle will pick you up (free of charge). If walking (approx. 5 minutes), walk along the main street towards the center. The Hotel Eiger is situated on the left side of the main street.

By car:
When you arrive in Grindelwald follow the main street, pass the Railway Station on your left hand side, and after the Sports Center to your right side, continue 200 meters and you will see the entrance of the Hotel Eiger on the left side of the main street.
