Hotel Helvetie, Montreux

The Hotel Helvetie is a 3-star superior hotel with 60 rooms situated in a unique 19th-century style building. The Hotel Helvetie is located in the center of Montreux close to the casino, shopping streets, Lake Geneva and about a 10 minutes walk to the railway station. The facilities at the Hotel Helvetie include the restaurant for traditional French and international cuisine, an authentic antique dining room, a hotel bar, large lobby and vast halls, several conference rooms, and a sunroof terrace enjoying magnificent views.

Description of Double Standard Room:
The rooms at the Hotel Helvetie have classic style offering traditional Swiss comfort; facing east or south with view of the mountains or the garden (some rooms have balcony); most rooms have been renovated in recent years and continuously are getting facelifts.The Standard Room has a bathroom with shower only and includes a hair-dryer.All rooms are equipped with Cable-TV, radio, direct dial-in/dial-out phone, Internet connection and mini-bar. The rooms are equipped with two twin-size beds (separated or pushed together) or with one queen-size bed; smoking / non-smoking rooms are available on request.

Directions on how to get there:
By Public Transportation:
Exit the Railway Station through the main exit and cross the Plaza and the Street, then walk for approx. 50 meters to your left where you see to your right a sign for the elevator which is taking you down to the main street; then walk to your left following the main street (“Grand Rue” and “Avenue du Casino”), where you will find the Hotel Helvetie after approx. 5-8 minutes to your left next to the church. Or ask for a taxi in front of the railway station (approx. CHF 12.00).

By Car:
Coming on the Highway from any direction, take Exit "Montreux", then always follow the signs to "Montreux"; straight at the round-a-bout and 2 traffic lights, then at the lake-side street turn left (direction "Villeneuve"); follow main street along the lake through the center of Montreux, following signs “Casino”, but instead of turning right towards the lake, look for parking in front of the church on your left; the Hotel Helvetie is located to the left of the church; ask at the front desk regarding parking.
